Work full time and successfully breastfed?

Question

Hi everyone, I've had a few friends that have had babies and about half of them have been able to successfully breast feed. I am hoping to, but in discussion with one of those friends the other night it seems some people give up on breastfeeding because it's too much and too difficult when working full time. I will have maternity leave but I do have to work full time once that is over, anything less just isn't an option right now. I guess I am just curious on people's successes with breastfeeding while working full time. Feel free to leave comments and/or suggestions for me on what worked and what didn't!

My baby girl is 24 weeks.  I returned to work at 13w pp. I built up quite a stash before returning to work and it's going strong.  I used to pump 3 times at work - now I pump twice at work. Still have over 1800oz frozen.

It's hard work - but worth it in my opinion.  Good luck!  Buy the right pump.  I love my spectra S1!  And don't forget the handfree bra!

I do. I have been since she was 3 months. My daughter is almost 6 months now. I pump on my breaks abs lunch to have milk to leave for the next day that I work. Anything excess, I freeze. It's a lot of work at times but I push through it. It is tempting to quit. I breastfeed at home.

10 months and going strong! It takes a lot of commitment, and a lot of time out of your day at work but worth it on my opinion. I use an app still to track everything and spend about 6-7hrs a week dedicated to pumping (not including EBF on demand when I'm home /weekends).

I did. ☺️ I returned to work full time at 14 weeks PP, and pumped during the work day, and fed on demand evenings/weekends until baby was one year. It was not always easy and required planning ahead and took up a large chunk of free time during the day, but was absolutely worth it, I would do it all over again for him.
