We're 36w2days today and my cerclage was removed. There was no medication given and it actually wasn't painful. There was discomfort from when the scissors would touch part of the cervix. You do feel the snipping. It kinda reminded me of what it would feel like if you were cutting a zip tie. The stitch is that thick! It took at least 5 minutes. There was some bleeding but nothing abnormal. I have to stay here in L&D for at least an hour to monitor the baby and to see if I dilate. I hope this helps someone who has an upcoming removal🤗.
