SHAVING TIPS!

Ok this may sound awkward and weird but I do have a full bush down there. I've tried shaving once but it was so uncomfortable and painful too so now I'm way too scared to do it again but at the same time I want it gone! Any tips and or products I could use to keep it nice and clean? Or could anyone who had experience with waxing share their first time? It sounds embarrassing but I get paranoid if a guy ever wants to see down there.
