When the egg is attached you don't get your period. Your period is the shredding of your uterine wall so having a period would mean loss of pregnancy. I'm not sure about the symptoms though, I don't think you'd be affected that early.

When the egg implants most women will miss their period and can test starting the day their period is due the way pregnancy is calculated is by your last period because conception is too hard to pin point when you miss your period you would technically be ending 1 month (4 weeks) pregnant
