major uterine lining shedding with mirena?

so I've had the mirena for 2 and a half months now, and my periods have been a bit lighter than my periods pre IUD, but now with the mirena I shed major globs of what looks like uterine lining, in addition to the bleeding that I do get. I've never experienced this with my old periods before mirena, so is this normal? and am I the only one going through this? lol

This is going to happen almost every single period because with a hormonal IUD it makes the uterine wall an uninhabitable place for an egg to attach itself too so there is no way for it too grow.

With mirena I bled like CRAZY for 3 months and then I haven’t had a period since. That’s just my experience but stick it out and you’ll be all set:) not having a period is the besttttt.
