very long cycle

Hi as the title says I've had a massively long random cycle so far! My last period was August 27th. I had bloods taken on Monday and I went into my Drs surgery tonight.. the receiptionist said the results are back- 1 lot say no further action the other lot say I need to make an apt with the dr? Any one have any previous experience or guesses what it could be?
