Did you get the TDap vaccine in your 3rd trimester?

The dr just gave me mine and now I'm wondering if I should have. I'm for this vaccine but NOT the flu shot. Even the nurse told me she won't be getting the flu shot for her or her 5 year old. Did you have any side effects from getting the vaccine aside from a sore arm?

I guess I'm the first to comment on declining the tdap vaccine. As a doctor myself and through extensive research, there's no scientific proof that this protects the baby during pregnancy and the baby will still need to get the dtap vaccine once they are born. Right now, the FDA is still in the testing phase but the FDA has not approved any vaccines for expectant mothers. My primary care and ob both agreed with me on my decision even though they are required to recommend it.

Yes! Pertussis, also known as whooping cough, is a killer and horrible to listen to baby struggle for breath! Hubby gets his shot next week and I get mine at the 33 week appointment. It is recommended grandparents get it too

I got mine and I was perfectly fine... I was just told to move my arm around a lot to help with the possible pain from the shot.

Yes, I had mine boosted in the third trimester with no side affects. I also made sure that family caring for the baby were also up to date.

I got mine in my second trimester. No side affects beyond a sore arm for a few days.

Yes to tdap, no to side effects besides not feeling to well the next day but I got over that. I'm against flu shots also 😂😂 I haven't had one since I could remember. An will never go get one. Just bc I think my body is strong enough and I rarely EVER get sick

I am having a bit of a reaction. My arm is sore and it is pretty swollen with a knot. I don't usually just get a vaccine without doing a lot of research but I'm glad I got this one.
