38 weeks my doctor set up an inducement for 39 weeks. (There were no complications I was just over being pregnant & wanted him out.) At this appointment I still hadn't dilated or soften so my doctor wanted to see me back that Friday to see if I had made any progress. If not, I would need to come into the hospital that Sunday night so he would insert the balloon & something else to get my cervix soft. Friday came no progress so everything was set for Sunday Oct 6. Sunday night 7pm came I went into the hospital got checked in & waited on my doctor to come. Once he came he tried to insert the balloon but it fell out 😳. He asked have I've been having contractions & im like 😳 NO why? He's like you're 5cm dilated. At this point I'm shocked & speechless. He told me I could still stay & they'll monitor me over night. As the night went on I started having back contractions that I couldn't take so I asked for the epidural. (Worst mistake of my life) it took the lady forever to get it put in correctly & honesty it still wasn't correct because I could still everything but my legs 😡. As she was trying to get it inserted my water broke 💦💦. After the pain of my back hurting from the epidural I asked for a sleeping pill so I could get some rest. I got a couple hours of sleep until he started making his way down the birthing canal 😓 the pressure was terrible. I had the shakes one minute I was hot the next I was cold. I finally made it to 10 cm after a couple hours. Labor was even worse. Even though I did get the epidural it didn't work so I felt it all. I could barely breathe & I had to do everything in my power to not push. I think I pushed for 30 minutes after awhile it felt like I blacked out. My mom & fiancé said I did but I don't remember anything after telling them "I'm burning up I need a fan & cold towel" until I heard his cry .. oh yea & my mom cry also 😂 1:15pm Alijah King was born at 8pounds 2 ounces 20in long!
