Anyone else working through to delivery?

So I actually just got hired on at a job today. I already realize how kinda crazy this is but I've been waiting for interviews with this school for a long time and working for a school has always been what I wanted since the schedule is so nice and everything about working for a school appeals to my lifestyle. I am stunned they chose to hire me at seven months pregnant but I am so happy. Is anyone else planning on working until they deliver? It's 8:30-12:30 Monday through Friday so I literally couldn't find better hours anywhere And I feel moving around four hours a day will keep me semi active so I don't lay around all day. I'm really worried about telling some people I got this job because right now I watch a little boy out of my home and I feel like some people will tell me how most women are quitting work right now not starting it. Please tell me I am not alone!

Congrats on the job! I work 3rd shift, 12 hour shifts. I'm 26 weeks along and just this week I have worked 66 hours. I do what I need to do. Now I have a friend who is not quite as far along as me who hasn't worked a day since she found out she was pregnant. Complains all the time about be tired AND not having money. Drives me nuts. Unless a doctor has put you out of work there is no reason a pregnant woman can't work.

The only reason I'm taking early mat leave is because I commute 45 minutes each way for my job. I want to be close to my midwives and hospital for the last few weeks! If I worked in the same city where I lived, I would work up until the end!

I left my job already because I'm moving.  I certainly would have stayed longer otherwise.

Congrats on the new job!! I plan on working until I can't anymore... I'm considered high risk bc I had a blood clot before my pregnancy. My shifts are between 8-10 hrs and I work 43-45 hrs a week.

Congratulations on the job! I think it's great that you are working till delivery. It will keep you active and will keep your mind busy with other things than worrying about the baby and pregnancy. I will leave my job early because of an hour commute by public transport that's really hard for me but if I had a job like yours, I'd definitely work until the last minute!

I also only got hired at a school in September and like yourself was so surprised they picked me with being pregnant. I'm a midday supervisor so don't do many hours but I find it great. 
I'm opting to leave work 3 weeks before he is due, but my 5year old came 3 weeks early so depends if this one plays ball or not lol

I started working at this daycare like a month before I got pregnant. I do not get paid maternity leave so I am planning on working until I deliver. It's going to be hard and I know but I also love working here too and I work with a lot of women who have had kids so they all understand.

I work shift work, 12.5 hour day and night shift rotations, also my doctor said she'd start doing membrane sweeps at 37 weeks because I'm trying for VBAC this time around. So baby will be born before due date regardless of whether I have VBAC or end up c section again. So...no lol I will be taking all my vacation time and maternity leave and I should be done just over a month before my due date. Can't wait!
