So I just had the mirena IUD inserted a s couple of hours ago for the first time. I was give a local anesthetic due to having a small cervix. It was painful during insertion and I've been cramping every since. The cramping comes and goes and I've also been passing quite a bit of gas.  I should also mention I'm 33 and have two kids via csection. Is the pain going to go away?  Can anyone give me their experience of this. Thank you.
