My husband and I are trying to choose a nickname for William. We're having trouble deciding between Liam (a very trendy name right now) vs Billy (a little more classic and timeless). Which do you prefer?

Will lol but I voted Liam. I never understood how people get Bill from William.

If you are just going to call him something else then why even name him William? Annoying in my opinion. If to pick a nickname, I would do Will.

If our next one is a boy, my husband and I plan to name him William Anthony after my father in law.

We had decided that we would use Liam as a nickname, but FIL hates that name and refuses to have any child named after him go by Liam.

We aren't as keen on Bill or Will, so our eventual son will likely go by his middle name and be Tony.
