what to do when people ruin your baby announcement?

So my husband and I are due June 18, 2017.  We've only told 3 people for medical purposes: my mom, my aunt and his best friend. Well my husbands best friend took it upon himself to tell  his family and my husbands mother (who we do not talk for other reasons). Now my husbands estranged mother has gone and told everyone so we've been getting calls asking if it's true. With my hormones all out of wack, I want to literally hit his best friend. He had no right to go and announce after we specifically told him to tell no one because we wanted to make it out of the first trimester giving we've had 3 miscarriages prior. What do I do? We planned to announce on thanksgiving when we were visiting family but it's completely ruined now. I'm so upset. I hate his best friend. He wants to be everyone's friend so he will tell people secrets to be on their good side. I told my husband he's not allowed to tell him anything else we don't want everyone to know because he can't keep his mouth shut. This is our first baby and my mom was looking forward to seeing people's reaction to the announcement and it's all ruined. No surprise, no hugs just texts saying congrats.
