How Long does the awkward stage of dating end?

I Have been talking to this guy for about a month and he is a nice fella and kind but both him and I have been out of the dating game for years. Him 6 years and I 4 years. He's older than me and more established and moves a little quicker than me. He is respectful but I feel like he wants a relationship NOW!!! And I'm just kind of on the fence. Due to me being Engaged in my previous relationship and not even making it to the altar. I just want to be sure but his whole demeanor is and the things he says he wants things to progress towards a relationship. But I'm still afraid to make a descision. Help me!!!

Well it's either 1) he's not the right guy for you or 2) you're not ready for a relationship yet. Either way the result is the same .....you shouldn't proceed in a relationship with him at this time. Let him know asap, so as not to lead him on.

With him being older perhaps he just doesn't want to "waste time" and wants to be able to spend more time with you and get to know you better? If you have been talking to him for a while now, what is the harm in making it a bit more official, as long as it doesn't get too serious for you? Maybe tell him you are willing to give it a try but want to rush things and you never know it might turn out better than you think! I would try and compromise, would you be upset if it turned out he needed up moving on and meeting someone else?!

I dated for about a month and a half, but I was  ready and wanted to be loved again. So I had to put myself out there and trust God. Things didn't become "unawkward" until after 6 months. I was told that ppl usually show you the real them after 6  months... but he'll I give them a year but all you can do is just give yourself the. Hence to say I tried it.
