putting car seat base in car

So my husband and I are anxiously awaiting the arrival of our sweet lady. Our vehicle is a 2001 Chrysler Pacifica so we do not have a normal backseat. It's two individual seats. My question is would it be safer to have her on the passenger side of the vehicle when in her car seat or the drivers side?
