IUD's?

Hey girls,

I'm really looking into getting off of hormonal birth control because I'm tired of jumping from one thing to the other and have everything change on me.

What are some of the side effects and things that come with a copper IUD? Anyone have an opinion on IUD's?

I'm on my 2nd copper IUD I had my first one for 9 years. I was able to get pregnant within 5 months of having it removed. I just had my second one placed 5 months ago. I picked it because I don't want the hormones of other birthcontrol methods or a pill I would forget to take. I do have cramping worse than I did without it but that's not enough for me pick a different method of birthcontrol. The placement was quick and easy. Just some cramping and spotting afterwards. It's a good long term birthcontrol choice.

There is a copper IUD that is hormone free and it lasts up to 12 years!!!

I'm sorry I'm not educated on iuds but there is a tab on here to learn about the different kinds of birth control. Have you thought about the birth control nexplanon that goes in your arm? I'm pretty sure it's not hormonal but don't quote me on it 😜
