why is everyone in a hurry? enjoy the journey

Why is everyone on edge, annoyed and wanting their pregnancy over. I'm 38 + 6 day today with baby number 3 and as exited we all are to have our baby I'm prerfectly happy and praying that she stays inside as close to her due date as possible. It is what's best for her as long as we are both okey.  
The pregnancy period is a special time that only the mother can truly have with the baby. It's such a precious and short period ( all things considered very short ) of time and then they are here and your lives will always change be it your first or your 10 th. Just enjoy every chapter of motherhood.

There are probably only a small percentage of pregnant women who feel like you at this stage!! After being pregnant this long we enjoyed it long enough and just want this baby out now!!!! Glad you feel so great but I'm annoyed, frustrated, in pain and could care less about trying to savor any minute longer of this pregnancy

Because I've had a horrible pregnancy, one problem after another, I've been very unwell and I also have a medical condition that means I can't go over my due date so if I don't have her by a week today I will need to be induced, she's safer in my arms xx

I was actually just saying something similar to my husband. Not in a judgemental way, just how surprised I am. I want baby to stay in until 40 weeks... not only when I tell people in person do they seem shocked, but seeing all these posts I realize how much in the minority I am. I want what's best for my sweet baby girl, and I guess from the beginning I've wanted to go the full 40 weeks and have had my mind in the right place. I am not in any kind of extreme pain or anything though, just uncomfortable and exhausted, so I try not to judge. It's still shocking to me though that no one seems to want the full 40! I feel blessed that I still want her to stay in and that I can still work and function pretty normally at 38w6d. Hopefully she's born at 40w2d :) I would love a December 1st birthday for her!

I just want my baby to come on her own and not have to be induced. They don't want to let me go past 41 weeks so I guess I'm just anxious. She's got a little more time as I'm 39w4d today. I just have no patience in general! Haha

Ive had a smooth pregnancy until 3rd trimester. I've been sick for most of it & its made me & everyone around me miserable. I've had 3 infections in the past 2 weeks even though ive never had one in my life, 2 of them are occurring right now at the same time so it has put me in so much pain. I am also carrying an 8-9lb baby at 40 weeks  with no progression what so ever. Some women have a harder pregnancy than others so it's really frustrating to see people degrade the ones that want to end their pregnancy a couple weeks early. It isn't your pregnancy, it isn't your body, it isnt your decision. Focus on your own.

I am right there with you. I know I am part of the minority, but I LOVED being big and pregnant. My DD and DS both went past their due dates, and I honestly could have kept going. Now, I am 12 days pp and miss being big. However, I am loving those sweet baby cuddles. Sad to think that I probably won't ever be big and pregnant again. We experienced several miscarriages before each baby. So, don't know if we will be trying for a 3rd.

Besides me being ready to meet her I'm over my pregnancy because I been having complications . Been in preterm labor for some weeks now and been constantly getting medicine ran through me. I battled with depression after my child father left . And now I have compressed nerves in my spine . But I pray she wait just a little bit longer to come .

I completely understand where you are coming from, i am also 38+6 today and i am in so much pain, need to pee every 5 minutes, have extremely bad lower back ache and shoulder pain, i can't sleep for more than half an hour at a time, it feels like someone is shoving a needle inside me. I have had a headache for 2 days straight and my sickness has returned in full force so for me at this point i just need my body back so would rather baby just gets out now! At this late a stage it is perfectly safe for baby to arrive, I'm in a rush to get baby out coz i just feel terrible, if i felt more human i would be a lot more patient!
