how long did it take you to conceive on metformin ?

Just wondering how long it took some of you to get pregnant off of metformin

i was on it for 4 months when I got pregnant. My OB put me on it for PCOS to help ovulate and regulate my periods.

Metformin is a diabetes medication it helps with insulin resistance and in some cases help you lose weight. It's this weight loss that is thought to be beneficial for ovulating and conceiving on your own. It isn't a fertility treatment. When I took metformin it helped me lose weight but that was all. Hopefully you have better luck while taking it!
