Nexplanon problems?

I recently got the birth control implant, Nexplanon, and had a period about a month after I had it put in and have been spotting on and off since for another two months and it's typically brown. Just wondering what others have experienced with Nexplanon and if what I've been going through is common? Thanks!

When I first got the implant I haven't had my period for the first few months which were lovely. Then there were irregular periods and annoying spotting in between but I got use to get. Basically expect the unexpected. It's different for everyone.

It's pretty common to bleed during the first year, whether it be like an actual period or just spotting like you're experiencing. Usually it stops completely after a few months to a year and then you don't bleed at all. If it's not too much of an issue for you and the flow isn't so heavy you could become anaemic then you could stick it out and most likely the bleeding will eventually stop.

Think you are best going back to the docs, I have the implant and it stops my periods, last time I didn't have one for 2 n half years, but my friend who had hers put in the same time had issues and kept bleeding and spotting coz it didn't suit her, she got it taken out and now has the depo  and it works better for her.
