Tricare and fertility help?

Have any of you ladies reached out for fertility help and have Tricare? My husband is in the army and we have been trying for almost 2 years. I was wondering what exactly they'd pay for. Any help would be appreciated.

Tricare doesn't cover IVF at all for me. Lucky I found a clinic that gives veterans a 50% off discount that is in need of IVF. They covered some medicines, but the not the very expensive ones. I paid 3900 for the medicine in all.

All of our inital bloodwork, SA, laparoscopy, hysteroscopy, and HSG, were covered. We paid out of pocket for Clomid, but it was really cheap anyways. I am currently doing IUI which is not covered. But I think it depends on location too.

I've had all testing completely covered by Tricare: lots of lab work, ultrasound, hsg, semen analysis, etc. I recently stared clomid and that's covered too. They said the next step if clomid doesn't work is "exploratory" surgery  to see if anything else is wrong and that would be covered by Tricare too. I know certain aspects of IUI and IVF aren't covered but I'm not sure of the details on those.

All my diagnostic testing was covered and that's all I've done so far. I'm the service member so idk if that would be diff for spouse. My husband's semen analysis and lap surgery for varicocele were covered. I need IVF but all they can do is give a discount at a military hospital and even with that they told me it would be about $6000

It really just depends where you are at I think. And what you are wanting covered.. I know people who have gotten IUI's covered, most medicine, not IVF though, unless done at a military treatment facility

We weren't able to get ANYTHING paid for, anything that was towards fertility care isn't supposed to paid for unless for some reason your infertility has to do with the problem of the military, injury etc. but I've heard some people get some things taken care of. I had to pay everything out of pocket. I heard that you can get some medication, but I was being seen off base at a clinic, and there just wasn't time in my  cycles to request an appt on base to request a simple prescription (you know how appts go with the military I presume.) i would need medications the day of (when it comes to the appts they just prescribe the meds that day and you start it for the most part.)
