My daughter had something like that and we ended up using magic butt cream (desitin, maalix, nystatin) it somewhat healed it. Then my doctor suggested OTC hydrocortisone cream, it cleared it up in two uses thankfully!

Yeah those rashes can be really difficult to get rid of on your own and can turn fungal quickly too.  My boy had a similar rash and we did a week of nystatin and cleared it up.
