Ok so I gave birth on the 21st of November (yesterday) at 1.55am UK time. I have been breastfeeding my baby since and today my breasts have sored up because theres no milk coming out (which I discovered around 6pm today (time now is 11.45pm) as when my baby latches on it has just really started to hurt today and has left my nipples sore and cracked as the baby was demanding milk for a good 6 hours (with short breaks) this morning and just wouldn't go sleep. And now that my nipples are sore and cracked I see there is no more Colostrum!!! And I've been feeding the baby today thinking that there is and she's been sucking on my nipples with nothing coming out so me and my husband got worried and bought a pump and tried pumping it out and nothing was coming out and it just really hurt! So I had a break down because my baby would go hungry as I cant latch her onto a dry nipple it hurts too much. So after the break down I had we decided to get milk from the supermarket until my actual breast milk doesn't come as I cant see my baby go hungry and as when she cries the only way she is quite is if I giver her a breastfeed and I can't! I want to breastfeed her but my nipples hurt to much! So I fed her the formula milk & she has only had a few oz in each feed (2 feeds so far) & she falls straight back to sleep! I will breastfeed as soon as I see my milk return as I did not want to formula feed the baby. Any advice?
