Bf bailing on thanksgiving

So I'm kind of mad that my bf who I'm living with decided he's not going to thanksgiving with me at my parents house, even tho he's probably just gonna sit and watch tv by himself at home. (His family lives in another country.) He said he's gonna have to start working 7 days a week and he wants to rest on thanksgiving. Even tho he could totally rest AT my parents house. My whole family has been telling me how excited they are to see him again, and it's not like I have a lot of family. He hasn't met my brother yet tho and I really want him to meet him. There's no fucking reason he's not going other than he's being a pussy. Ammiright? What should I say to him? Cuz right now I'm just like "ok cool."
