Feeling lost..sick baby

My daughter is 5.5 months old and got her first cold 2 days ago. I'm a FTM and been trying different things..giving her the baby Motrin for feeling fever-ish. Hate seeing my baby girl not feeling good. The worst part has been her runny nose. It was dripping constantly the first day. My problem here is she HATES the nasal aspiration bulb thing...I call it the sucker. I have never heard my baby scream so loud her entire life (past 5-6ish months) than when I have to use that thing. Just now I did it cuz she was trying to sleep and you could just hear the snot there and she couldn't barely breathe.. my ears are ringing from her screaming/crying. She's fast asleep and breathing so much more clear now but holy cow. I'm happy she's got a clear nose for now but ugh what can I do about her screaming every time I use that sucker?! My fiancé thinks getting this electric baby nose vacuum thing we saw at Walmart would be good but I think that would be even scarier for her. Help me any experienced moms!! This is her yesterday sitting up and waving with her poor runny nose
