What you really NEED for the first few months

I remember being a FTM thinking that I needed so much for a newborn but you really don't! Here's a list of what you need for the first month or two.

10 ish receiving blankets - you use these more than you would think!

6 sleepers/onsies - don't bother with cute outfits because the first month or two it's all about convince for diaper changes.

2 thicker blankets for keeping your baby warm and tummy time

1-2 packs of newborn and size one diapers or cloth diapers- you go through A LOT. Also for those who are cloth diapering I'd recommend disposable for the first week or two until the baby starts to get its normal poo in.

Wipes - buy the costco size pack because the first week or two you will go though a lot until you get the hang of diaper changing and the babies normal poos come in.

Diaper cream! Can not stress this enough! Use diaper cream from the get go because it's a lot easier to prevent diaper rash then to get rid of it.

Bottles/formula if bottle feeding.

Somewhere for the baby to sleep. Preferably something you can have close to your bed for all those night time feedings.

A diaper bag.

Stroller and car seat.

Nursing bras. At least 3

HELP! This is most important! Get some help for those first few weeks.

Nice to have

A carrier or sling because newborns love to be close to mommy.

Soothers. My baby won't take one but a lot of people find this helpful.

Nursing pads for leaks.

Breast pump if breast feeding.

If anyone wants to add anything please do! I hope this helps 😊
