So my mom and I aren't close. We've never been. Our relationship is and always has been really tense. We had a huge fight the other day and she said she wasn't coming to the delivery of my baby girl next week. She is bipolar and has borderline personality disorder, so I figured she would get over herself in a couple days. She did, as always, so today I asked her what day she was coming down. I'm getting induced on Thursday, but my brother wanted to watch Fantastic Beasts with me, so I was hoping they would come Wednesday night. Well, mom said she wouldn't come on Wednesday and would be here Thursday. I was bummed because I know my brother wants to see the movie, so I asked why. She said because she is "bringing someone who can only come on the first and it's a surprise so don't even ask"! I was like hold up. No. You don't get to invite surprise guests to the birth of my child! I got so scared because out of all the crazy shit my mom has done, I never o certain thought about her inviting people to this! I totally panicked and went off saying that this isn't some kind of party and demanding her tell me who it was.... It was my sister. I already expected some of my siblings to be there, so it wasn't even really a surprise, but just the thought of a stranger or someone I don't like being there freaked me out so badly that I almost had a panic attack! Now, I'm trying to calm down, but I still am scared because I don't trust my mom and still think she would try to pull a fast one. Luckily, my husband has said he would put his foot down and kick any stranger AND my mom out of she does that. Ugh. That was just not something I was expecting!
