How did you stick with a name?

We find out the gender in a few weeks and we are in love with the name Keaton for a boy (have no middle names yet) and Taylen Grey for a girl (Grey has lots of meaning to me so please don't comment negative things about the middle name Grey, thanks.) How many of you picked a name before the baby was born and stuck with it? I want too but I don't know how I will.. tips?

When I told my best friend our names we picked were Natalie and Madeline, he response was "hello 1980s!!" Super hard to get over that. We also wanted to give our daughter the middle names Jaymes but we're told we were making a HUGE mistake. Lesson learned- don't tell anyone the real name you're planning and claim you were inspired when you finally met your child.

The only tip I have is don't tell anyone. You don't want anyone to "ruin" the name for you by saying they don't like it, or they knew someone in high school with that name who murdered twelve people, or anything else. As much as you would hope people would just nod their heads they won't. I watched as a young mothers mom and grandma criticized her for how she wanted to spell her babies name, the mother ended up completely changing the name.  As soon as the baby arrives everyone will be so in love with him/her it won't matter what the name is.

Our first daughter is Hazel after her great grandmother. We told people and literally everyone over 40 HATED it, to include her namesake!!!  My father refused to call her Hazel in the womb and called her Taylor (which was not an option).  We stuck with it and now she's 7 and I cannot imagine her with another name.  Everyone loves it now.  She is such a Hazel!  
I am stubborn, so it was easy for me to stick with it. Plus, it's kind of nice to know what people are thinking, even if it's not nice. 
This time we are naming our second Harriet (calling her Hattie) after another great grandmother.  I've gotten some mixed reactions and some of my friends love it and some don't and have even told me ways her name could be made fun of ("hottie" or "Hilo Hattie" or "fattie"). I guess you just need to have a thick skin if you're sharing the name or ask people to keep their opinions to themselves.

Yes don't tell anyone. We shared that we liked the name Taylor (girl) and a friend said "that's the home wrecker that ruined my marriage." It's hard to get past comments like that.

Ella Graye Durham for us if its a girl. Haven't told anyone! When I picked Naomi Angela originally everyone literally said "ew"

We had both names picked way before we found out the gender and once we knew we were having a boy we stuck with our name. It was hard for us to agree in a boy name so once we did we stuck with it.
