Is the name Iris too weird or ugly?

Baby name dilemma!! My husband and I have agreed on the name Iris Jane for our first daughter. We wanted something older but still not common. This isn't a family name but it has some historical significance in our area. I like the name itself but we've gotten a lot of negative feedback from family and now I'm unsure of myself. Help!!

Its beautiful.. family doesn't always have to agree with the name but the do gotta accept it as long as you love/like it there opinions shouldn't matter.. its your baby if the like a different name they can have a baby and name it what they want.. sure they would listen to imput from anyone elese if and when it came time anyways.. good luck and god bless

Thank you everyone for the support...I really don't know why I let this bother me so much. I'm sure all parents want their families to like the baby name and I have told a couple that when they have a baby they can name it whatever they like. Maybe its just hormones. I don't know but seeing the support makes me feel much better. Thank you!

Oh I voted Incorrectly, I like live the name Iris as well as rose. Both old names which have feminity, strength, and confidence.
