Anyone else terrified of getting stretch marks ? 😩

My husband was rubbing some shea butter on my belly and saw the beginning of stretch marks 😞 I'm 22 weeks , and feel very discouraged. I was told that if your mother didn't have stretch marks , then it's likely you won't either . My mom and sister didn't have any , but now I am getting them :(

I just hope that after baby is born I can work out and get my pre-baby body back, but stretch marks don't go away right?? Ugh ... feeling really defeated right now . Probably just hormones .

When I had my first child the stretch marks were the end of the world to me I was so unhappy about them. Now I'm on my 3rd have hundreds of stretch marks ( I'm usually very thin/under weight and gain way more than usual in pregnancy) all over the place boobs butt stomach thighs legs and I don't really care anymore. I'm not happy about them but well I don't know what my point was anymore 😂 They suck

No... guess I'm not that vain. Plus I'm having twins so kinda inevitable. I really feel a sense of relief that the thought of stretch marks doesn't phase me.

Nope they don't go away without laser treatments. My mom didn't get them but ive had stretch marks since puberty so I know I'm in for them. Unfortunately most women do get them and it's just better to brace yourself. My sister in law thought she'd escaped them until after she gave birth and was able to see under her stomach lol

Homemade remedies, and it works perfectly, you have to be constant with it tho, mix a good humectant cream (or the one that is specially for pregnancy) with a tablespoon of olive oil extra virgin, a teaspoon of vitamin e oil, a tablespoon of vaseline, 3 drops of lemon juice (do not go out to the sun with it), and if you want you can add some cocoa butter too. I promise you that works awesome! I have been using it forever! I even had them when i was really skinny 😣 and that made them fade. Good luck!!

I worry too! I no it may sound selfish to some people but I really don't want them! I didn't get any with my first and praying it's in the genes and I don't again

I had stretch marks before getting pregnant due to hypothyroidism and gaining a ton of weight in little time. So I'm not concerned like others are. But there are awesome lotions that reduce them if they fully surface. The coco butter brand is the best to reduce the appearance from red to normal skin color. And coconut oil is a great all natural way to prevent.
