What happens after birth?

Question

This is my first baby so I have so many questions!
I never wondered, but I just read an article about things that happen after birth
And I just realized I never thought about some of the specific stuff that happens right after the baby is out,
And I wanted to hear it from other mommas instead of just a blog!

So like what happened after, like getting stitches, placenta coming out, how it feels to walk after for the first time!

Just stuff like that
Sorry if it's too much information or if I sound naive lol I just like knowing everything!

I was completely fine and back to normal the next day. No ripping , just bled for about 10 days like I was on my period. I did stock up on so much crap for hemeroids and anything to help my vagina heal, but I didn't use anything except for pads!! Everyone is different !

I'll try to remember everything you asked in answering. 
That moment is a blur to me, but what I can remember after I delivered: they put him on my chest, cord was cut, baby went to get wiped down and hospital id on, placenta was delivered, they pushed on my uterus a bunch, baby was handed back for an hour of skin to skin. 
The first time I got up to go to the bathroom a nurse went with me. I was really wobbly, they gave me a squirt bottle to squirt water on my vagina after I went to the bathroom and she helped me into mesh underwear with witch hazel pads in them. Got back in bed and my husband got to hold him. We then went upstairs to the recovery room. They took my son to be placed under a heat lamp for about an hour then brought him back. I needed to nap and so did my husband so they took him to the nursery.

Well your placenta comes out. That doesnt hurt. You get stitched if you tore. If you tore or got an epusiotomy it stings to pee so you NEED to use a peri bottle so while you pee you spray water down there so it doesnt sting. You may need tylonel for a day or 2. After first baby after pains arent strong but after 2 they are bad and feel like your in labour. Your uterus will be kneeded by the nurses which is very uncomfortable but helps your uterus go back to a smaller size. If you had an iv ( so if you had an epidural) your body will swell from it and your feet will be huge. If you had an epidural they need to remove that darn cathetar which isnt fun. Your boobs will be sore for the first week or 2 from breastfeeding...if you dont breastfeed your boobs will balloon up and kill and you need to watch so you dont get mastitis....its all really not that terrible but it is an uncomfortavle dirst few weeks. Oh and you will bpeed usually 3-8 weeks

I am 5 days post partum, I had a second degree tear so I needed stitches. I feel like I've been stomped in the vagina!!! It's worse after sitting for a while. Breast feeding hurts, but it's getting easier! My nipples are just sore, but they'll toughen uo. The peri-bottle and sitz bath are love. When I sneeze or poop, I feel like I'm going to blow my stitches out! 😂

I never thought about that while pregnant either. After my son was born he was placed on my chest and my placenta was delivered then I was stitched up ( I had a 3rd degree tear). Then they massaged my belly for about the next hour every 15-20 min (very painful for me). The first time I got up to use the bathroom was so painful. You can't wipe just squirt warm water and pat dry. I was also told I wouldn't be able to leave the hospital until I had my first bowel movement which was extremely painful I cried. I think it was just because I tore really bad. For me the recovery was way more painful than labor and delivery and did it all natural I was in labor for over 24 hours.

Immediate following I got a sponge bath never have I felt more defeated they clean up your inner thighs and such.  The next day walking I felt like my labia were slapping against my thighs.  I knew things were getting better when I didn't feel that anymore 2 stitches minimal superficial tear I felt ok not terrible.

For me it was right after my son had been born they handed me my son to breast feed while they massaged my stomach trying to get the placenta out (in my opinion this was the most painful above having my 9lb 6.3oz son), right after they stitched me up from 4th degree tears, they allowed me and my family to have time with the baby in the room and eat while feeling returned to my legs from the epidural, showered and they showed me how to use the water to spray away the blood, pat with tp then use cool numbing spray to help with pain, afterwards I was wheeled to our room that we ended up in for 2 weeks since my son had severe jaundice. They pretty much let you do your own thing from there unless you have questions or need help.

So far delivered 2 days ago very quick labour just two hours he was born i held him for about 5 mins got his daddy to clamp the cord and let him have a cuddle then they gave me a injection in my thigh didnt feel it to help plancenta to be delivered, midwife gently pushed on my stomach for about 30 seconds and then eased the placenta out didnt feel ne thing really had no pain relief other then gas and air for birth. Then pains i felt after where achy and sore back and bottom felt weak and tired since then just very achy all over and sitting is uncomfortable for my back and bum but otherwise feel ok.
