Eczema or ringworm? My son has had some patches of dry skin that feel like goosebumps. Tonight when I was putting lotion on, i noticed it looked like ringworm. Any insight, mamas? I put on aquaphor and will watch it for a few days.

Ok, first off my son is a wrestler (deal with ringworm alot in the wrestlers room. But not only is he a wrestler but has eczema that break outs look like ringworm. So do this...

Go to the store and grab cream for athletes foot (same fungal thag causes ringworm).

Give it a few days it should fade or disappear.

If it doesnt, its eczema, and the doctor will give you a cream for it.

But even if its eczema it will fade with the foot cream, but it wont go away after a few days.

Been there done that all of last year.

My son had rings like that too. I freaked out that it's a ringworm. Doctor said that it's just dry and sensitive skin, not eczema yet. We changed his laundry detergent and went back to Burt's bee body wash and it all disappeared.

My oldest son has had eczema off and on for years and whenever it flares up we apply Foderma serum and it helps within a couple of days. Dramatic difference as other lotions we had tried had basically no effect for him at all. Highly recommend for people with eczema.

Ringworm. Call your ped. My toddler has gotten it a few times and they always tell me to put lotramin on it. Fixes it after a week or so

I'd just see the doctor. Looks like ringworm but it also looks like eczema. One of the classic telltale signs of eczema is a coin sized patch just like that. My husband thought he had ring worm even though there was no place he could have contracted it, and was self treating with an antifungal, he showed it to a Dermatologist he worked with and the derm said its textbook eczema. Sooooo.... I'd just see the doctor, they can prescribe the right treatment for you guys. I will also say that ringworm is super infectious so if no one else in your family has recently had ringworm also, it's likely eczema

My daughter had eczema patches that looked like that as well. I switched all of her soaps and lotions specifically for eczema and she's been clear ever since.

Go to the doctor to be sure. Myself and my son have eczema and I've never had a patch look like that on either of us.
