You can have them if they're steaming hot, just not cold! Obviously they're still not great for you, but that's ok sometimes!

Hot dogs are fine. Pretty much literally anything is fine. Just make sure you are eating whatever item the way that you are supposed to. IE for hotdogs heat them up.

Same here. Once in a while I'll take a bite of one, but it's easy enough to buy uncured. The reason we are supposed to avoid them is the nitrates and nitrites, which are in many foods, but very high in processed meats like lunch meats, hot dogs, sausages, bacon, etc. Look for products that are uncured, and indulge your cravings guilt free! I literally woke up this morning craving hot dogs from ikea 😂 unfortunatly the closest ikea is 30 minutes away so I opted to just go to the grocery store. I ate 3... worth it!!
