It can vary as some wpmen take longer with their surge others are shorter. If it stays positive continuously it can be a sogn youve conceived as this happend with me and it was how i knew i was pregnant before i even got a positive hcg test

I think they can last a few days. Assume that you ovulated 12-36 hours after the first positive. You'll also have another surge right before AF.
