My son is breastfed. He will be taking bottle of breast milk when I return to work part time. He is a comfort nurser at times and we nurse to sleep. He doesn't love binkies but will take them. Sometimes he doesn't want to nurse for comfort and finds his hands to suck on. My question is, would you rather let your baby have a binky or suck his thumb? I've been offering him the pacifier when he puts his hand in his mouth, with the idea that at least one day, I'll be able to take them away, whereas I've seen 6 year olds that still suck their thumb. I'm not passing judgement on these kids, I'm in uncharted territory since my girls did neither.
