Fingering Hurts.

So me and this guy are messing around and the other day we were. I'm a virgin and I never been fingered before. I was really wet, he fingered me and I pushed him off cause it was hurting. He ate me out then he tried to finger me again and it still hurt. How can I get fingered without it hurting? Why does it hurt? It's not like I'm dry, I just hurts (all he did was put the tip of his finger in!)
