Should i try to be friends or drop him like a bad habit??

He calms that he loves me and wants to be with but after while he stopped talking to me........to find out that he got someone else pregnant but we just had a little girl a month ago.......she texted me on Facebook to let me know.....but I am hurt about what I found out ...I asked him , he didn't say anything at all. So I told him im done with him and I would not be made a fool of or look stupid , he can text me only to ask about our daughter or if he can see her but he hasn't done none of the two things at all.....should I try to have a friend ship with him or leave him to his own self misery??
