IUD????

Question

Okay so for the IUD (I have skyla) is it true that you can't wear tampons or no??? Because I just woke up and started and I don't have pads on my (I'm at my mans house and all the girls in his family are tampon wears) 
Update: thank you ladies! I'm wearing them today honestly asked cause I didnt have a pad with me and honestly I hate wearing pads

It is totally safe to use tampons with an IUD. It is only said to not use them for the first 24 hours after insertion to reduce the risk of infection, as your cervix is still slightly open.

Not true its only when you first get it inserted the dr told me only then if i bled that i couldnt, i used them when i got my normal cycle after that ☺

No, I don't think that is true. I had a different iud and the doctor didn't tell me that.

I've had skyla for 2.5 years and always use tampons! Never had a problem!
