TV Time/Shows
Growing up my mom didn't have a time limit of how much tv we could watch, or really what we watched for that matter. But also during this time going outside to play with your friends was still a thing. So we weren't spending hours in front of the tv.
Anyway. Now that I have a little brother who is just over a year old (19 year age gap between us), and my mom has friend who has younger kids (ages 2-8) I have noticed there are "set tv times" and restrictions on screen time. Has technology taken over that much that it now has to be monitored and kids no longer enjoy going outside to play for hours?
Also, I don't have kids yet (trying, to no avail) but do you guys take precautions on what you watch around your children? I honestly don't think I could sit and watch TreeHouse for hours on end.
Do you look down upon parents who decide to watch their more adult tv shows with their kids around? Should shows like The Walking Dead, Game of Thrones, or whatever you like to watch be saved for after the kids go to bed?
