When to make appointment

Question

When should i make an appointment for the first ultrasound? When is the best week to plan it?
What other things can i plan (already)

I've always been told to call once you have a positive test and your office will tell you their normal way of doing things. Many OBs I know of don't see you until 8-10 weeks for first appointment and dating scan, but the only way to find out is to call! Good luck and hope you have a happy and healthy 9 months

I know it's hard to wait, but definitely don't try to make an appt earlier than 8 weeks.  If your numbers are off, and you're earlier in your pregnancy than expected, you might not see a heart beat and that will freak you out.  Patience definitely pays, so give your little bean a chance to grow as much as possible before checking in :)

I made my first appt for when I will be 7weeks 1 day. At 7 weeks they should be able to find a heartbeat which is a nice time to get an sono.

My last period was 11/3, I am due for my period Wednesday and I just got a positive yesterday and called my OBGYN today. My 8 week appt is schedule for 12/20, so I would call and schedule that now. They typically don't see you before the 8 week mark unless you have bleeding (I was seen at 6 weeks in my 1st pregnancy for that) or a complication. Congrats & good luck!

I found out today and called my OnlB today to make my appt just so I can get blood work done to confirm. And after that have the rest of the blood drawn to check the baby. I did if for my fort pregnancy, sadly ended in July because of a miscarriage. But do it right away
