The Start to Our Treatments IUI Journey

Je
I'm 32 years old and my husband is 36. I have rarely had regular cycles since the onset of menses.
Last year, I had WLS and I have lost 150 lbs. before I started losing weight, my cycles started like clock work. My husband has stage 4 reoccurring brain tumors and is currently in remission. We decided to seek fertility assistance to expedite our hopes of having a family. I had unknown infertility and he is unable to ejaculate during intercourse since his brain surgeries.
My gyno suggested having a HSG test and referring me to a specialist. At the end of October, we scheduled an appointment with Dr. David Vandermolen in Shreveport, Louisiana. He is awesome, by the way. My test results showed blockage to my left tube and my right was wide open. He suspected the test was administered incorrectly and hindered by the balloon. I had the test done a second time and, sure enough, both of my tubes are wide open, but he saw something abnormal.
My husband had a semen analysis and had a 8 of 10 rating! All normal.
I had a cycle transvaginal ultrasound and bloodwork showing everything was normal. I had produced 4-6 small follicles on my own and my bloodwork showed just a slight increase in my testosterone levels.
After my cycle, I had a saline ultrasound and he found two uterine polyps. I had a hysteroscope and D&C to remove these polyps last Tuesday. I was told I would probably not have a cycle this month due to surgery, but this coming month is our fertility treatment start date
We are excited that we are "perfect candidates" for IUI and ready to start our treatments.
