Should I make w tinder/bumble (not for hookups)

I'm 18 years old and a freshman at college. I've never so much as kissed a guy or been in a relationship. I'm not interested in a hookup for my first time, and I want to be in a relationship, but the only time I meet guys is at parties... When they're drunk af and only want sex. What's your opinion on going on tinder/bumble NOT for hookups but for a potential relationship?
