U.K. Ladies advice?

My waters broke last night at 2am! I went to hospital as he stopped moving once they broke or maybe I couldn't feel him because I was in a panic and now they've said I have to go back in 24 hours to be induced this is my first baby and I didn't think it would be like this has anyone else had anything similar? Xxx

This is right, thought my waters broke the other day, ended up being my back waters but when they thought it was my waters they said I would have to come back and be started off as you can get infection

I think the reason behind saying wait 24 hours as they like your labour to start naturally instead of inducing people but they don't let you go more then 24 hours for risk of infection etc once your waters have broken. But if your worried go back in, it's not worth stressing yourself out over. Good Luck.

Yes they said keep an eye for any contractions and to call if it does happen, otherwise wait until the 24 hours then go back into be induced but I may ring them and go in cus it is a bit worrying xxx

Hope you're ok.
They must have sent you home as you're not in active labour yet. 
Sometimes your waters break but labour can still be a while away.  I would be worried about them leaving you with your waters open it can make you more susceptible to infection but if they already told you to come back in you should be fine.

Have they advised you to keep an eye for contractions/ time them etc?

If you're feeling very anxious you could just try calling them and saying you would feel safer being in hospital as you're feeling stressed and anxious with it being your first x
