Advice: The Pill (?)
Hello Eve community! I rarely do anything social on here, but this subject is very important to me and I don't know who or where to turn to.
Disclaimer: I am 15 years old (I know, I am very young and many people believe kids my age shouldn't be having sex, but please pardon your beliefs for the sake of this post. I will have sex regardless, so please do not rant about how I am too young. I have already had this talk so many times. I decided to post this on here and get advice for this very reason. Hopefully, a few people will help me out and not criticize me for my decisions. I really need help.)
Anyways, I grew up in a family that shamed anything romantic or sexual, so it is obvious that it is uncomfortable to talk to my parents about sex. I have had a boyfriend for a little over 6 months now. We haven't had sex, but we have done other things and we've talked about sex before. I'm not planning out my first time by any means, but I really do not want to become pregnant, whenever my first time happens.
A lot of my close friends became sexually active before they even worried about birth control, and there was a pregnancy scare that really freaked me out. I never want to worry about that happening to me, given my present situation.
I want to go on the pill. However, I really don't know how to ask my parents. I feel they will be upset with me or forbid me from seeing my boyfriend. I just really want to be safe, if I ever decide to have sex. How do I ask them?
