AFRAID OF SEX. So my boyfriend and I have only had sex TWICE since I found out I was pregnant at 5 weeks and I'm 17 weeks. I'm a FTM and we are both freaked out that it could affect the baby somehow. Anyone have a problem like this?

Talk to your OB about this and bring your boyfriend. Unless there is a medical reason for pelvic rest you can safely have sex throughout your pregnancy. The logistics get a little challenging toward the end but we were still having sex at 9 mos.

Totally understandable. It's a very common worry :) however, unless you're on pelvic rest, you can have all the sex you want. Be prepared for light pink spotting after - it's totally normal due to the increased blood flow down there. You cannot hurt the baby by having sex.

It's a common worry, but a needless one. Unless your doctor advises you not to, you are totally fine. His penis just cannot hit the baby at any angle at all unless it is A foot and a half long and can bend inside of you.  And really you can get absolutely any position. I'm at 31 weeks and we still have sex maybe twice a week in all positions with no issues. If you are that worried, bring him with you to your next appointment and speak to your doctor. It really is absolutely nothing to be worried about unless your doctor says so.

I'm 18 weeks and have sex still but I think as I progress I'll be more worried about positions and how the baby lays. Like I know there's rare cases were sex can cause harm or something to the baby but the worry is there. You should just ask your doctor if it's okay.
