Do you think more expensive prenatals are worth it?

I used to get the nature made prenatals - but my pharmacist told me it's not the best out there. So I got a expensive organic food based one. I'm running out, and I don't want to spend a pretty penny to stock back up. (30 ish dollars for one month!) However, if it's such a huge difference in nutrition I will. I'm curious what your opinion is! :) So, do you think more expensive prenatals are worth it?

I do think food based prenatals are worth the money (I.e. vitamin code raw prenatal). But, at the very least make sure the supplement contains folate, not folic acid.

Your pharmacist is right, most prenatals that are sold in stores have low quality ingredients, and don't absorb as well in your body. Before and then during the first trimester of this pregnancy I was taking Designs for Health's prenatals. They were fantastic! I could absolutely tell the difference in my body but I stopped because they were 1) super pricey and 2) made me take 6/day which was really hard with morning sickness. I'm now on Smarty Pants prenatals because they have the right forms of the nutrients (methylcobalamin for B12 and methylfolate instead of folic acid), they're cheaper, and they're so easy to take. Because the nutrient levels are lower than my old prenatal, I also take Designs for Health's Vitamin D Supreme (I'm always low in D), DfH's Homocysteine Supreme (I have the MTHFR gene mutation), and a B12.

Personally I think prenatal only use is to keep your vitamin levels up as the child takes from you... because the child will take everything he needs from you even if that leaves YOU short. 
As long as you're eating healthy and well rounded diet you should be good.

I didn't even take my prenatal and the baby is looking great and growing at a great speed(39 weeks)
If you don't feel comfortable stopping I can at least tell you that the "cheaper" ones aren't bad as long as they have the vitamins necessary

Most of the vitamins in prenatals aren't readily absorbed into your system anyway. You're really just paying for expensive urine.
