Painful sex why?

I think I'm having some issues with sex now the more I think about it. I've been married for 3 years and I've very very rarely had sex without lube. I was bit shocked to hear that my friend never ever needs lube ever 😳 She has been married for 3 years also
I mean on some days sex will feel great once the initial discomfort is over like 3/4 mins but sometimes it BURNS like crazy. So bad that my vagina feels like fire inside and I wish I could put ice inside. This will happen despite using lube. On top I will very rarelyyyyy orgasm through sex should I be concerned about this too?

Any suggestions??

Am thinking of going to nurse am too embarrassed to see my Gp. This lube buying is getting very expensive

Not been on birth control for over a year now and even on pill which was dianette sometimes it would burn and sometimes be fine. Regardless I always used lube

Doubt it's STD never been sexually active before marriage and same with husband. Thought could be a yeast infection I would have other symptoms but nothing.

Certain types of birth control can cause it, it happens to me too also when stressed its like my mind is into it but my body's not or vice versa.  My doc also said my cervix is lower than normal occasional and him hitting it can cause pain and discomfort.  And when its painful even the slightest bit its like a light switch that turns off wet . How can you be turned on physically or emotionally when ur hurt?

I'm the same way. I usually have to have lube. I still get "wet", It's not uncommon.
