Betadine to clean the penis?

Just had sex with a guy who puts betadine on his penis after every round and claims that he uses it to clean/ protect it from bacteria and viruses as we didn't use condoms. So now i'm wondering if that is any true or he's actually infected with some disease. Can betadine be really used as an anti-septic for the penis?

Betadine is for wounds. It's nasty stuff I had to use it on one of my lizards when he had an infection on his scales. How bout you don't have sex with a guy unprotected and THEN ask about any potential diseases. Shouldn't you ask first?

It's going to kill anything lingering that's topical, but it won't stop either him or you from contracting or giving the other something. Why would you have unprotected sex with someone if you didn't know whether or not they were clean?
