Topamax?

Has anyone ever been prescribed this? My doctor just prescribed it for me for my migraines.

My dad and I both take it. The first dose doesn't usually work, but the second one makes it better. And, the one thing that SUCKS, it makes all soda/pop taste flat.

I was on it when I was young like 17 I took it for a year and I litterly barley get migraines anymore... I used to get them everyday. It Worked Well... idk if i had any side effects though because it was a few years ago.

I'm on it now and it has made my migraines go away completely. I lost 20 pounds and have had no other side effects. 👏👏😘😘

I was on it for migraines as well bit quit as I am ttc. The only side effect that I had was hair loss and a lot of it:(

Soda tastes terrible.. Minor weight loss I took it twice a day and my second dose made me tired. But it wasn't anything unbareable I took it for a year and have almost gone a year free no migraines and haven't taken the topamax.! Had nasty migraines too..I'm talking face and arm numbness including tongue and eye functions impaired..(actually thought I might've been having minor strokes) As well as feeling terrible for up to 48 hrs after. And it helped me.

Im on it right now. The only side effect I have is weight loss, but not extreme or anything. Topamax helps me to a point, but I still get occasional migraines that topamax just cant prevent my body from.
