So here's the deal. I work in a lab. My entire career is about blood and piss. 
And if you puncture yourself and drip it on a HPT, you are very mistaken Lol. 
There are SOME tests that you can do that with however, it is not blood... it's the plasma. So unless you spend hundreds of dollars on the sticks that test with BOTH plasma and Pee, and then another couple THOUSAND on a centerfuge so you can spin the blood to GET the plasma, your inflicting pain on yourself for nothing ladies. 
Not to mention it will be a waste of a test. Because it will not even register. lol your welcome!

Well that seems like a lot more work than pee..lol. I don't think it would be any more accurate because the cutoff level for hcg would still be the same. The reason blood tests at doctors offices are more accurate is because they can see how much hcg you actually have and not just a yes or no for the presence of it like home tests.

I actually saw this on an episode of untold stories of the ER and they couldn't use just regular blood on a HPT they had to spin it down and then use the plasma to test it, so I don't think it would really work but who knows! Lol

No, those tests are specifically made to react with chemicals in urine to give you the control line so you know the test has worked, plus I don't think blood would be watery enough to travel down the reagent strip

I don't think it will work. I worked in a lab and usually you spin the bloods and than do the testing. Urine tests are for urine and blood tests are for blood. Just as it claims to be.
