can you love someone that you've never seen

So I'm at work talking to my coworker and she's telling me about this guy and how much she likes him and she asked me if you could love somebody that you've never seen... she says they've been talking since September they talk otp text FaceTime and snap each other but he's a very busy guy all he does it work and sleep ... anyways I told her I don't know I've never been in that situation
