first ob apppointment?

Question

Hi I've got my first appointment at the obgyn at 9 weeks and a day on Wednesday. A little nervous so if somebody could tell me what all will happen I would appreciate it ☺️

My first appointment was also at 9weeks and 1day. I don't know how your OB's office will work but they took my weight, I gave urine and I got an ultrasound. Then they talked to me asked if i had any questions or concerns and gave me a bag of sample prenatals. Hope this helps 🙂

Depending on your doc, you may get an us, will pee in a cup to test urine, height/weight/bp, fill out a bunch of paperwork, get a folder with prenatal info, and possibly get blood work done. You will schedule most of your appointments in advance(if you can, I highly recommend it-so much easier). Be sure you are clear on wether you want to do genetic screening because there is a small window of time to be able to do it and you don't want to miss it. It's all standard stuff-nothing to be nervous about.

They will see how much you weigh and they will give you a thing to pee in and then the doctor will ask if your having any plans and talk to you about when your due date will be and ask you lots of questions  and they take your blood pressure And all that . The doctors appointments are kinda boring lol I'm 24 weeks and they are still boring now all they do is weigh me and have me pee in the cup thing and take my blood pressure and all that and ask how I'm feeling and then I get to hear the baby's heart beat
